Xavier Heymans

Head of the Bordeaux office, Xavier Heymans assists numerous national and local private and public players in the South-West of France and overseas.

On a daily basis, he advises them on the implementation of their projects, in close contact with their legal departments and managers. This proximity enables him to maintain a detailed knowledge of his clients’ needs, and to respond by mobilizing the most appropriate legal tools.

Xavier Heymans assists local and regional authorities, public bodies and public and private companies (particularly builders, developers and real estate companies) with large-scale projects, from conception (legal arrangements, land management, obtaining permits, adapting local planning regulations, etc.) through to completion (including contract performance).

Xavier Heymans has acted in a number of high-profile disputes concerning road bypass infrastructures, on behalf of project developers and in the context of operations of national interest.

He also assists local authorities and government departments with coastal development and the management of coastline recession on the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts.
